- Problems related to accessing basic needs, resources, and support services.

Education Access & Quality:
- Problems related to availability and awareness of needed resources and supports for both providers (clinical, non-clinical), and those with lived experience.
- Problems related to patient education, engagement, and health literacy.
- Problems related to provider education (clinical, non-clinical) and continued training and development opportunities
- Problems related to the awareness and knowledge of standardized practices, coordinated care, and improved services and outcomes.
Workgroup Commitment:

FFY 2025 Mom Advocacy Representative (Northeast Region, Southeast Region)
The Missouri Maternal Health Action Network is looking for mothers with lived experience who are further along in their recovery journey (> 2 years) who may be interested in serving as the FFY 2025 Mom Advocacy Representative for the Northeast Region, and Southeast Region of Missouri. Preferred qualifications include those who are currently Certified Peer Specialists through the Missouri Credentialing Board and actively participate in areas of advocacy, peer program support, or currently sit on an advisory committee or board. Missouri Medicaid Enhances Maternal Health by Reimbursing For Doula Services
JEFFERSON CITY, MO – The Missouri Department of Social Services’ MO HealthNet Division (MHD) is proud to announce that on October 2, 2024, the Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) approved a State Plan Amendment (SPA) that enables the state to begin reimbursing for doula services.
Alliance For Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Releases New Community Birth Transfer Resource Kit (CBTRK)
The Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health – AIM has created a new resource in collaboration with community birth experts, the Community Birth Transfer Resource Kit (CBTRK), to provide best practices for safe and timely transfers regardless of birth setting or care model. In this resource kit, “community birth” refers to planned birth at home or in a freestanding birth center, most commonly in a midwifery model of care. Creating systems that promote safer birth in all scenarios is a key component to improving the safety and quality of care provided to all patients.

- Missouri Family Resources is a free statewide resource website and mobile app that houses a variety of local resources for families with young children. It is designed to be used by families and professionals. Users can search for local resources, then print their search results or share them directly by email, text, or social media. Users may also suggest updates to resource listings and can submit new resources to be included in the database. This will help keep the database comprehensive and current. Account users can make notes about individual resources and save resources to their favorite folders. Missouri Family Resources collects no personally identifiable information (PII). Data is used to analyze search patterns and the availability of resources in a geographical area to inform local decision making.
