The Missouri Perinatal Quality Collaborative recently announced the release of The One-Year Postpartum Pathway, an in-depth report that gives recommendations for the extended postpartum period. Developed over a year and a half by a team of maternal and infant health care stakeholders, the report features the postpartum care pathway (guidance from pregnancy through one-year postpartum), best practices for different stages of care, barriers, resources and recommendations for extended postpartum care, and next steps for improving and implementing the continuum of care for mothers and their families.
